Christmas

Christmas Eve Stephen and Boston opened their Angry Birds Star Wars pajamas.  I am pretty sure we could have given them the pajamas and nothing else because they were THRILLED!

Here is a look at what Santa brought us this year:

Stephen got a microscope and Boston got a Nerf disc shooter.

Boston was very sleepy when we brought them out to see their gifts.  He could hardly open his eyes and kept shaking his head back and forth trying to wake up.  Here he is mid shake…I love how his cheek and lip are flapping in the picture!

What a fantastic Christmas morning face from Stephen!

Stephen was thrilled with his microscope!

Santa brought the boys Bubble Tape.  Boston ate his before we left for the Quist’s house…less than an hour after he got it.  When I say ate, I mean he SWALLOWED it too…gross!

Doesn’t take much to make them happy…Lucky Charms!

Scott and I gave the boys Dream Lites.  We had some reservations about them since they were pricey little stuffed animals.  Luckily we got them at Costco and they were cheaper there.

As it turns out, these silly little things are the most loved Christmas gift the boys received this year!  They use them daily and they really are pretty cool – the stars actually shine on the ceiling like in the commercials.

After we opened gifts at our house we went to the Quist’s and spent some time opening a few things at their house.  Since Scott, my Dad, and Boston all got Nerf guns for Christmas and Stephen already had one from his birthday, they decided to mount an attack on Allen and Courtney.  The poor unsuspecting couple were ambushed as they came through the door.  Stephen and Boston now think that an ambush is the best way to welcome someone so consider yourself warned.

After a lovely nap at home we headed over to the Smith’s for a bit more gift opening (spoiled much?) and a phone call from Scott’s missionary brother, Dylan.  We had a really nice Skype with him during which we had a family testimony meeting.  There wasn’t a dry (adult) eye in the room.  It was really a neat way to spend Christmas.

The Angry Birds hooded blankets were a bit hit with Stephen and Boston.  I would say that they are the second most used gift they received.
