ASU Grad!!!

Scott graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Business from ASU on December 21st.  I insisted that he “walk”since it is a once in a lifetime thing and I wanted to make a big deal out of him being DONE!!!  Scott had a front row seat and I have to say that a December graduation is quite lovely and low-key compared to graduation in the spring.  He looks so nice and tan in these pictures but he is really yellow from his liver problems.

You can see that there really weren’t very many people there and we had great seats.


Boston and Stephen did pretty well during graduation…must be all that practice from when we went to Chery’s commencement and convocation back in April.  Boston talked pretty much the whole time but he was pleasant.  Also in attendance were my Mom and Dad and sister, Celsea, and Scott’s parents.





At the end of the ceremony, they had a giant balloon drop.  It was really cool!


Scott snagged a couple of the balloons for Stephen and Boston.

Scott is the first to earn a bachelor’s degree in his family.  I think his parents are pretty proud of him!


I insisted on throwing a party for Scott and I that night.  It was my birthday just a few days before graduation and so we combined parties and celebrated the night of graduation.  Scott is such a good sport and even though he was not feeling well at all he went along with my crazy plans.  We had a lot of help from my Mom and Celsea with making food and even cleaning my floors for me.  The party was a lot of fun.  We had our families and some friends come and go.  We had lots of treats and a fire pit going in the backyard.  It was really fun to see so many of our loved ones at the same time!  Sadly, I have zero pictures of the party when everyone was there because our camera battery died.  But here is Scott after the party was over:
