Pass the Pork please! or not...

The other night we had an interesting family dinner. It all started with some dry and nasty green chile pork burrito filling that I made in the crock pot...no flavor at all!!! This was such a disappointment as this is normally a very tasty meal. As we were eating this lackluster fare, Boston (who was in his bouncer chair on the floor) began to cry. We have noticed that he likes to sit on Scott's or my lap while we eat dinner - I think he feels left out otherwise - so Scott went over and picked him up and we continued to eat.

Shortly after Scott picked him up, Boston decided to FILL his diaper and, of course, it was so full that the diaper could not fully contain the contents so it exploded up his back - all over the (light colored) onesie he was wearing. I volunteered for clean up duty but soon realized that I would need reinforcements. So there I am yelling for Scott to come and help me. Even with the two of us carefully manuvering the onesie over Boston's head we still managed to smear you-know-what all up his back. This required Boston to have a bath (remember, we are still in the middle of dinner).

When Scott went back to finally finish eating, it was Stephen's turn for attention. He had to "go potty" right then (also number 2). I know, maybe TMI but he does this (number 2) during almost every dinner now, and let's be honest, no one likes to deal with that while they are eating - it tends to ruin the appetite. Finally, we were all back together and TRYING to eat. It was even grosser now because we noticed that the liquid that dripped out of the burritos was a kind of yellowish color....

I don't tell this story to gross anyone out but because I thought the whole thing was hillarious!! I just laughed and laughed and kept thinking, "life would be so boring without these two little guys!" I am so grateful to be a mommy and have this sweet little family to laugh with. I am truly blessed with a fabulous husband and adorable children!
