Potty Training Here We Come!! - Just Kidding
Yesterday Stephen was taking a bath and I noticed some signs that he was thinking about going poopy in the tub (which if you have experienced with your own children - is to be avoided at all costs) so I asked him if he would like to go on the toilet. (ha ha) He said "eesss" (yes) and so I sat him down on the edge of the potty and thought to myself "this won't work." Well to my extreme surprise he actually went! I thought it was pretty funny and he was quite proud of himself and enjoyed flushing the toilet and watching everything go down. Then we ran to tell daddy. Don't worry - I don't have any false hopes that he is ready to start potty training anytime soon - the incident is a welcome fluke that saved me a diaper change (and a diaper!)

Why not? I have been told that some children take to it very well. It seems like he liked it! I think it's a boy thing. Yea for you and Stephen.
You never know. My parents had my oldest sister potty trained at 18 months I think. I got excited when Kaden started saying "poopy" when he got stinky and bought a little toilet. I tried to have him get used to sitting on it and he even went #1, but was oblivious and just wanted to play in it afterwards... so I think it will be awhile before I try again:) Love the new blog design!
That's awesome! I've been wondering about Caleb myself because he seems to be aware of when he goes in his diaper and makes me go upstairs to change him. But not every time. I'm thinking of trying and if it doesn't work well then I'll wait it out a bit longer. So maybe you should try too! That's pretty awesome that he did that though and didn't go in the tub!
I think you should potty train him! He's a clever kid. I have been putting Ady on the toilet for about a month now and I don't get those results!! I think you should go for it. It may take a little longer, but if he pooped take advantage of it, and start!!
That is awesome!!! keep up the excitement for him now. Something terrible happens when they are two and if the don't already have a desire and excitement for it. You might as well sign yourself up for another year of diapers. That is my experience anyway. Take it for what it is worth. Which is probably not much since. I am most likely THE WORST MOM at potty training. Anyway, good luck with whatever you do!!
That's a great start! I just found your blog through Jen's. How are you guys? I can't believe how much Stephen has grown! I guess it has been almost a year! He is soo grown up and adorable. Glad you are blogging and we can stay in touch a little better.
